Living Room Reveal!
Hey Everyone! Welcome back to the blog! Today I'm so excited to finally show you all our finished living room makeover! We've been working on this project for over a month ever since our landlord said that we could paint. Goodbye yellow walls and hello beautiful gray!
I have to say that this is the first time in our almost 10 years of marriage that we've actually had our living room completely put together! Most of the time, It's been filled with used mismatched furniture and we were never really happy with how things looked. Being a family who entertains and has people over a lot, we wanted to make the space functional and beautiful. I think we've finally achieved our goal. So without further ado, here is our new living room:
We live pretty minimally and I love modern, minimalist design but because we have people over often, we needed the extra seating. We originally were only going to get two chairs along with the sofa but my husband talked me into the love seat also and it has actually proven to be very helpful to have that extra seating.
We made the plank wall with peel and stick wood planks from Plank and Mill. We love how it adds a focal point and statement to the room. The TV Console is from Ameriwood and added that extra touch of a modern feel while still remaining cozy.
One of my favorite pieces in the room are these DIY maps I created with locations that are very special to us. Tacoma, Washington - where my husband and I grew up and were married. Windsor, Colorado - where the Lord called us and where my husband began in full time ministry. And Varanasi, India - My husband has had the opportunity to go to Varanasi several times and I've had the opportunity to go once and it's become a place dear to our hearts. We've met some amazing people there.
What do you all think? Do you like how it turned out? It was so much fun for me to makeover a room but I am glad it's finally complete. I hope you enjoyed the reveal, I'd love to hear from you all!
